The Board

This is the gaming board in which the game will take. A normal square grid wouldn't work with 5 players so the only option was to make it a hexagon grid shaped (almost) like a pentagon to fit the 5 players on. As you can see each hexagon is labeled with a coordinate, this is useful as it will help players know where they are and will work well when the randomiser is in play.

Movement/Attacking
The images below are some examples of how movement and attacking is done within the game

The first example shows off how the melee class engages in battle. The melee class can only attack in 1 square range, meaning it has to be directly next to an opponent to attack. The same goes for its movement it can only move 1 space at a time

The next example shows off the mage class. The mage's primary attack is stronger than its secondary, but its secondary attack can hit from 2 spaces away, this can be useful if you want to play defensive.

last example shows the range class. the range class can shoot up to three spaces away but its limieted to the amount of arrows it can shoot (arrows can be retrieved back if you go to the space you last hit your opponent).

3 Randomisers

In our game there will be 3 randomisers that will affect gameplay and players in a number of ways. I will explain what each randomiser does.

The damage multiplier
Damage multiplier is done by rolling a standard 6 sided dice, and the dice determines how much damage is added or taken away to the opponent. The level of damage ranges from -3, -2, -1, +1, +2, +3. For example if the base damage is 32 and you roll a +2 the damage will be 32+2 =34 damage.

The Drop coordinate
Drop coordinates will happen before the game starts. A dice (with a bigger outcome than 6) will be rolled and will determine
what turn the bonus drop will appear. We are still trying to see what can be added to the bonus drops.

The Coordinate chooser
Coordinates chooser determines where the bonus drop will land on the board. We have a miniature version of the board in which you spin a coin and where ever the coin stops will show where the bonus drop will be. Only the user that’s uses it will know where the bonus drop is.

Character Classes

In this game there will be 5 classes to choose and play with. Each class has their own unique stats, utilities, move-sets and damage power that set them apart from each other. All these stats will be displayed on a battle card which will be explained.

Range::The range class has more attack range than the other classes; it can hit an opponent that’s within 3 spaces of it. Since its weapon is a bow it has limited arrows which can be retrieved back once you’ve attacked your opponent and move to its last position.

Tank: Tank is the sponge class, meaning it can take a lot of damage. It also has a lot of attack power behind it, but there’s a catch, when its attack is used it will have to charge up meaning it will miss a turn.

Healer: Name says it all really. Half of the damage done is absorbed by the user and adds on to the users HP

Mage: This is the best balanced class in the game. With its secondary attack it can hit from 2 spaces away, but attack is weaker than primary attack.

Melee::The melee class’s secondary attack does no damage; instead it shocks the enemy and reduces their attack by 10 Dmg. For 2 turns.

Battle Cards

Each Player will have a battle Card. Battle cards display information about the character you are using, such as their abilities, HP, attacks, utilities, skip, move, a little bit about the character and a concept drawing of the character

These are two templates that were done before making the final one

The 2nd template is the design and layout that will be used in the final design of the battle cards.
This is what the finished battle card design and layout looks like.

The colour scheme in the background will represent the character, in this case its purple. The same will apply to the other 4 characters and their battle cards.

Name Of The Game

Speaking to one of my team members 'jasdev' we were trying make a name for our game. I had an idea of taking the first letter of everyones name in the group, and came up with the name CEIJA

C-Connan
E-EJ
I-Ishy
J-Jasdev
A-Ameet

Jasdev kindly made a logo for it which looks pretty good
